In an interview with the New York Times, Melissa Rosenberg says that she supported after high school by working in New Jersey strip clubs while performing with a theater company.
Rosenberg was the screenwriter for the "Twilight" movies and the head writer on serial killer drama "Dexter."
She says that her own encounters with men influenced "Jessica Jones," second season of which will be released on March 8.
Rosenberg opened up about her experience as a stripper in another interview with Filmmaker Magazine, where she opened up about her "weirdest or worst job."
She described it as painful, but also "kind of hilarious" and said the state's rules and regulations required her to wear pantyhose.
Rosenberg has won a Peabody Award and has been nominated for two Emmy Awards and two Writers Guild of America Awards.
